Terms & Conditions of Fur Inn Cattery

Please note - These terms & conditions are provided with every booking confirmation

  • Rates are charged on a daily basis including the day of arrival and departure. Rates include all food, bedding, litter and chalet heating for cats / hay, fresh fruit and vegetables for small animals (except prescription diets / diets not routinely kept by Fur Inn Cattery). No discount is available if owners prefer to provide their own food.
  • All deposits are non-refundable but may be transferrable within a booking year when at least 30 days' notice is given, subject to availability.
  • Sharing of accommodation is only available to compatible animals from the same household.
  • Should multiple cats not get on they will be separated into different chalets and any additional costs will be applied to the client's invoice.
  • Less than 3 days boarding is permissible, but the minimum charge is for 3 days boarding, with the exception of the Christmas period when the minimum charge is for 7 days.
  • Owners returning to collect their animals before the contracted booking period will be required to pay the full contracted booked boarding period fee.
  • Animals cannot be released until full payment is received.
  • Please be aware that if booking boarding for the following year, the tariff may have increased from the time of booking to when you board, as prices are reviewed each year, with alterations commencing 1st January.
  • Animals must be transported in a secure and suitable pet travel carrier.
  • Fur Inn requires a contact number of a friend, relative or mobile phone of the owner. In the likelihood of a delay or problem, you will need to arrange for someone to collect your animal on your behalf if necessary as we cannot guarantee to hold your animal for any extra days.
  • All belongings are left at the owner’s risk. Any items left unclaimed by the owners after 1 month following boarding, will be disposed of.
  • Any treatment deemed necessary for the animal's comfort and well-being, e.g. Worming, flea treatment etc., will be carried out at the management’s discretion and charged to the owner, having taken veterinary advice before administering.
  • Cats will NOT be accepted for boarding without their current vaccination card for immunisation against flu and enteritis and rabbits for myxomatosis and VHD.
  • Cats requiring a starter course of vaccinations, must have had two vaccines 3-4 weeks apart and wait one week after completion of the course before boarding with Fur Inn Cattery.
  • Proof of vaccinations must be shown upon arrival at Fur Inn Cattery. Due to council licensing and pet safety, failure to provide proof will result in the pet being unable to stay at Fur Inn Cattery.
  • Owners must inform Fur Inn at the time of booking or arrival of any medical history.
  • Fur Inn will administer medication when necessary, but cannot be held responsible for administration of any animal proving difficult, or if the animal risks causing harm to staff whilst medication is administered.
  • Fur Inn reserve the right to refuse admission of any animal showing signs of illness pending veterinary advice or any long haired animals that the management considers to have an excessively matted coat. The grooming of animals will be carried out as necessary and it is appreciated if owners have their own grooming equipment that they bring it with the animal. However, Fur Inn will not be responsible for grooming any animal that gets distressed or risks causing harm to staff whilst being groomed.
  • The owner gives consent for the Fur Inn to use their own nominated vets, as displayed in the reception area.
  • Fur Inn does not provide any veterinary insurance cover and therefore strongly suggests each client taking their own insurance out for their animal. Any veterinary costs incurred by your animal during its stay will be added to your final bill and must be paid in full before your animal leaves the Fur Inn premises. Should it be necessary for euthanasia on humane grounds by the veterinary surgeon caring for your animal, after consultation with the contact person, you give your consent.
  • Whilst every care and precaution is taken with every animal boarded at the Fur Inn the proprietor cannot be held
responsible for any illness, disease or death that may occur during boarding.
  • Any animal left uncollected without contact for 7 days after the completed contracted booking date will be handed to an animal charity.
  • Any animal that passes away while in the care of the Fur Inn Cattery will be taken to the owners registered vet to be looked after until their return. The owner will be informed, unless instructed otherwise and upon return the owner will be able to contact their veterinary practice to make the appropriate arrangements.
  • Photos and videos taken during an animals stay may be used on social media by Fur Inn Cattery. Fur Inn Cattery must be informed if the owner chooses to opt out.
  • Any person entering the premises must make Fur Inn Cattery aware of any relevant allergies when at risk.
